Lunzo applies rules that prohibit the listing of certain types of product on the platform. A breach of this policy may lead to the removal of a listing and to the suspension or blocking of the seller’s account. Lunzo reserves the right to change these rules at any time and to decide for itself whether a particular product may be offered on the marketplace.
Lunzo operates a “Notice and Takedown” procedure; reports about listings can be submitted under the Lunzo Third-Party Complaints Policy.
General rule
Goods whose sale is prohibited in Ireland or in the European Union may not be offered on Lunzo; nor may goods whose sale requires a registration, notification, permit, licence or certification that the seller cannot produce; goods that are dangerous, have been withdrawn from the market or do not meet safety and labelling requirements; goods that infringe the rights of third parties; and goods that the rules of our payment and advertising partners do not allow. Sellers undertake not to offer goods whose placing on the market breaches the law or this policy. The following overview is indicative and is not exhaustive.
Prohibited items
- Medicinal products for human and veterinary use, including over-the-counter medicines
- Medical devices without CE marking, past their expiry date or available only on prescription
- Anabolic steroids and substances with a hormonal effect without authorisation
- Food supplements and cosmetics with unsubstantiated or misleading health claims
- Drugs, narcotic and psychotropic substances, substances that mimic their effects and paraphernalia for using them
- Tobacco products, electronic cigarettes and refills, nicotine pouches
- Alcoholic drinks
- Firearms, ammunition, their main parts and regulated components
- Airsoft, paintball and gas-powered weapons
- Replica weapons that can be mistaken for real weapons
- Knives and other items intended for combat or self-defence, electric stun devices and defence sprays
- Fireworks, explosives and their precursors
- Poisons, unauthorised biocides, ozone-depleting substances and radioactive materials
- Products withdrawn or recalled from the market or notified in the Safety Gate system
- Products without the required CE marking or without details of the manufacturer and of the responsible person in the EU
- Toys and products for children that do not meet toy safety requirements
- Counterfeits, imitations of branded goods and goods that infringe intellectual property rights
- Stolen goods
- Counterfeit money and reproductions of banknotes or coins that do not meet the legal conditions for reproductions
- Payment cards, securities and cryptocurrencies
- Official documents and identity cards, forgeries of them and official stamps
- Live animals and insects
- Specimens of protected species and products made from them
- Pornographic content, sexually explicit material and fetish goods
- Content promoting hatred, violence, terrorism or extremism and symbols of movements whose display is prohibited by law
- Devices intended for intercepting communications or for monitoring people without their knowledge
- Signal jammers, decoders for the unauthorised reception of paid broadcasting and devices for circumventing technical protection measures
- Unlicensed and malicious software and tools for unauthorised access
- Car parts and accessories that endanger road safety or are not approved for road use
- Lotteries, gambling and offers promising quick profit
Items allowed only subject to conditions
- Adult toys – only in the 18+ category and only for persons over the age of 18
We will remove any listing in which we find a breach of this policy; in the event of a repeated or serious breach we may suspend or terminate the seller’s account.
