Overview
Kohlrabi Seeds Brassica oleracea var. gongylodes 50 pcs popular cruciferous vegetable with a green round bulb for sowing in the garden

Kohlrabi is among the traditional vegetables of European gardens, cultivated for centuries for its tender bulb and excellent culinary uses. This pack contains 50 seeds, allowing you to grow your own supply of this beloved vegetable in the garden or in containers. The main edible part of the plant is the round swollen stem (bulb) of light green colour, which is harvested in various sizes depending on its use – younger bulbs for raw culinary preparation, larger ones for steaming and cooking. From the top of the bulb grow long petioles with large green leaves, which are also edible and can be used similarly to cabbage leaves. In the kitchen, kohlrabi is used in salads, stews, soups, as a side dish, and as a raw snack for the whole family.

Growing kohlrabi can be managed even by novice gardeners – simply incorporate the seeds into loosened soil either by direct sowing in the garden or by first raising seedlings on a windowsill and transplanting them outside after the last spring frosts. For a stable harvest throughout the season, we recommend staggered sowing at intervals of 2–3 weeks, ensuring fresh bulbs at various stages of ripeness throughout the summer. The plants appreciate regular watering and light fertilisation with nitrogenous fertilisers, which keeps the bulbs crisp and juicy. For the best flavour, it is advisable to harvest the bulbs while they are still young, around the size of a tennis ball, when they retain their sweetness and tender texture. This pack of 50 kohlrabi seeds is therefore an excellent choice for anyone wishing to grow their favourite vegetable for fresh spring and summer dishes in their own garden.
