Overview
Laboratory Heating Mantle JOANLAB HMC-2000ML Digital Temperature Control Volume 2000 ml Heating up to 380 °C White-Blue For Chemical Operations

The two-litre volume takes a long time to heat up, making it all the more important to know the current temperature. The Laboratory Heating Mantle JOANLAB HMC-2000ML therefore controls the heating digitally, keeping the selected value displayed at all times. The bowl accommodates a flask with a volume of 2000 ml and transfers heat through direct contact, ensuring that energy is not lost heating the surrounding air above the table. The settings cover a range from room temperature to 380 °C and can be adjusted using buttons next to the display, while the probe on the cable measures the temperature directly in the liquid inside the flask. The largest size in the series is used for multi-hour distillations and processing larger quantities of solution in a single flask.

  • Capacity 2000 ml — the bowl is shaped for two-litre flasks with a round bottom, distributing their weight across the entire surface area of contact, so the glass does not rest on a small point.
  • Digital Control — the value is entered using buttons and displayed, allowing the settings to be checked at any time or recorded in a log.
  • Temperatures up to 380 °C — the range can handle aqueous and organic mixtures and maintains heating of a large volume for an extended period without significant fluctuations.
  • Probe in the Flask — the temperature sensor measures the liquid inside the glass, so the heating is controlled according to the actual temperature of the sample, not the heated wall of the mantle.
  • Even Heating — heat is distributed to the glass across the entire surface of the bottom, which limits hot spots and burning at the walls of the flask for a two-litre fill.
  • No Open Flame — heat conduction through the mantle replaces a Bunsen burner or water bath, simplifying work with flammable liquids and organic solvents.
  • Robust Body — the sturdy mantle with a metal rim and four legs supports a full flask even with attached apparatus and secured condenser.
  • Easy Cleaning — the outer surface can be wiped with a cloth after cooling, and no water residue or limescale remains inside the bowl.

Contents of the package:

With large volumes, any inaccuracy in heating results in unnecessarily longer waiting times or conversely, boiling over. The numerical input of temperature therefore facilitates work, especially where the same procedure is repeated and must yield comparable results. The display provides an overview of progress even after many hours of operation, without needing to approach the device to read the position of the rotary knob. Direct contact of the bowl with the glass utilises heat more effectively than heating through air or via the walls of a water bath. It finds application in operational and educational laboratories, in research, and everywhere larger volumes of solutions are handled simultaneously.
