Overview
JOANLAB HMC-250ML Heating Mantle with Digital Display Volume 250 ml Heating up to 380 °C Temperature Sensor in Flask White-Blue For Laboratory

The JOANLAB HMC-250ML heating mantle replaces the estimation of the knob position with a specific number on the display. The bowl is shaped for round flasks of 250 ml volume and transfers heat to them over the entire contact surface, ensuring that the contents are heated evenly. The temperature is set using buttons on the front panel, with a range from room temperature up to 380 °C. The temperature sensor on the cable is inserted directly into the flask, allowing the device to operate with the temperature of the liquid, not the temperature of the mantle. The small volume is suitable for sample preparation, dissolving solids, and experiments in chemistry education.

  • Digital Display — both the set and current values are readable from a distance, so you don't have to stand by the device and read the scale position under the knob.
  • Volume 250 ml — the bowl shape corresponds to quarter-litre flasks with a round bottom and keeps them stable throughout the heating process, even when full.
  • Range up to 380 °C — from gentle warming to temperatures needed for distilling solvents with lower boiling points and evaporating aqueous solutions.
  • Temperature Sensor on Cable — the probe is immersed in the liquid and the device controls the heating based on it, which limits overheating of the contents and temperature fluctuations.
  • Button Settings — the value is entered step by step and remains stored, allowing the same experiment to be repeated at the same temperature even after a long time.
  • Flame-Free Heating — heat is transferred through conduction via the mantle, which is safer when working with flammable liquids than a Bunsen burner and does not create hot air around the glass.
  • Stable Position — four feet elevate the body above the tabletop and keep the device in place even with attached apparatus and secured condenser.
  • Easy Cleaning — the smooth outer surface can be wiped with a cloth after cooling, and no water remains in the bowl as with a water bath, eliminating the need for pouring out.

Contents of the package:

  • 1x JOANLAB HMC-250ML Heating Mantle with Digital Display
  • 1x Temperature Sensor

Digital settings are useful wherever there is a need to repeat an experiment under the same conditions. The numerical value on the display is unambiguous, allowing it to be recorded in the laboratory protocol and set again next time without estimation. Measuring with the probe directly in the liquid provides a more realistic picture than the temperature measured on the mantle wall or the surface of the glass. The even heat transfer across the entire bottom of the flask also reduces the risk of local overheating. The smaller size is advantageous in school laboratories, in sample preparation, and when working with small volumes of liquids and short reaction times.
