The calibration solution for EC meter with a value of 111.8 mS/cm is designed for calibrating conductivity meters and other devices for measuring the electrical conductivity of liquids. The declared conductivity value applies at a reference temperature of 25 °C (77 °F), which is used as the baseline for temperature compensation by most common EC meters. The standard conductivity solution is supplied in a practical white bottle with a volume of 50 ml with a screw cap that protects the contents from contamination and evaporation. The solution is made from high-purity laboratory-grade chemicals and is ready for immediate use without dilution, allowing for quick calibration without any further preparation. It is applicable wherever there is a need to regularly verify the accuracy of conductivity measurements, such as in hydroponics, aquaristics, pool maintenance, laboratories, and home water testing.

When calibrating, first rinse the electrode with distilled water two to three times, then immerse it in the calibration solution and set the device value to 111.8 mS/cm. For the most accurate result, it is advisable to calibrate at a temperature close to 25 °C, or to use the device's automatic temperature compensation, as the electrical conductivity of solutions changes significantly with temperature. To keep the solution clean and usable for further calibrations, pour the required amount into a separate clean container and do not return the used solution back into the bottle. After each use, carefully close the bottle to prevent contamination or evaporation of the contents. Regular calibration using the standard solution helps maintain the reliability of electrical conductivity measurements and promptly identify any deviations in the device that could otherwise distort the results of long-term monitoring of water in an aquarium, pool or hydroponic system.
