What is a product recall?
A product recall is a measure by which products are withdrawn from circulation if they are found to be defective, unsafe, or to pose a potential risk to consumers or the environment.
Product recalls are usually announced by the manufacturer, brand, or a government regulatory authority, and information is disseminated through multiple channels – including direct notifications from regulators, public warnings and databases, or notifications from our sellers. Lunzo aims to inform all consumers who have purchased a recalled product as soon as possible after we become aware of the recall.
If you wish to alert Lunzo to a dangerous or illegal product, please follow the steps outlined in the article: Report a Dangerous or Illegal Product. What should you do if you believe you have received a recalled product?
If you purchased a product on Lunzo that has been recalled, you should receive an email notification from us informing you of the recall, which will include details of your order, such as the product name and order number.
If you have received a product listed as recalled but have not been contacted directly by Lunzo, we recommend that you contact us immediately by email at safety@lunzo.ie.
