The world has changed. It has been twenty years since world leaders offered unconditional surrender to alien forces. XCOM, the last line of defence for the planet, has been decimated and scattered. Now, in XCOM 2, aliens rule the Earth, building shining cities that promise humanity a bright future on the surface, while hiding a sinister agenda and eliminating all who oppose their new order.

Only those who live on the fringes of the world have any freedom. Here, strength is gathering once more to stand up for humanity. Still on the run and facing impossible odds, the remnants of XCOM must find a way to spark global resistance and eliminate the alien threat once and for all.

  • EVERY MISSION IS A UNIQUE CHALLENGE : Embark on missions across the globe, from wilderness to the heart of alien-controlled megacities to the depths of alien installations. There are virtually endless combinations of maps, missions, and objectives.
  • CREATE YOUR OWN MODS: Community-focused tools allow you to create your own campaigns, tactical games, aliens, classes, strategic game features, and share them within the Steam Workshop.
