Wanderstop is a cosy game about change and tea, centred around a story. As a fallen warrior named Alta, you will manage a tea house in an enchanted forest and care for the customers who pass through. However, Alta does not want to be here. And if she has her way, the tea house will remain just a brief and painful memory.
The core of Wanderstop's gameplay loop is the ritual of managing the tea house, starting with growing and harvesting the ingredients needed for tea and ending with mixing them in an unusual tea brewing device. Along the way, you will talk to many characters who pass through the tea house, learn their stories, and prepare the tea that is just right for them.
In your free time, you can tidy up around the shop, decorate the shop in your style, or simply sit on a bench with a cup of tea and listen to your own thoughts. Perhaps it is okay to do absolutely nothing. The shop demands patience, rejecting those who come merely in pursuit of unchecked growth.
And that is why Alta cannot be here. That is why she will never manage it. That is not her. No, she is a warrior! Why would anyone insist on turning the world’s greatest champion into a submissive servant?! With all that she is capable of?? No, no, no, she cannot do it... she cannot do it...
