Torn Away is an interactive adventure about a girl torn from her home.

Asya is ten years old. She wants to sail paper boats downstream, play in the yard with her friends all day, and hurry home when her mum calls for dinner in the evening.

However, Europe is engulfed in the flames of the Second World War, and millions of Soviet people are taken for forced labour in Germany. Asya and her mother are among them. After several unbearable months in a labour camp, Asya manages to escape. Her only goal – home.

Cross through all of Germany and Poland to return to her homeland and help Asya reunite with her family.

  • A poignant story inspired by the diaries of Soviet children about the hardships of wartime, told from the perspective of a little girl;
  • An unjustly forgotten theme of the fate of “ostarbeiter” – people who were forcibly deported from Eastern Europe to work in Nazi labour camps;
