The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria follows the dwarves as they embark on a new adventure to reclaim their legendary home, Moria, beneath the Misty Mountains. Players will band together to survive, create, build, and explore the iconic, vast mines. Bold expeditions will need to be vigilant, as mysterious dangers await.

 

Features:

  • Feel the Fellowship: Experience the fellowship of dwarves like never before, with the rich lore of the iconic fantasy world of J.R.R. Tolkien woven into the very fabric of The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria.
  • Survive the Dark: In order to survive the treacherous Mines of Moria, players must conserve resources, hunt and gather food, and manage their sleep, temperature, and noise levels. Utilise dynamic lighting systems for safety and carve a path deeper into the dark. Battle unspeakable evil and survive hordes of monstrous goblins in the inner struggle while uncovering the secrets of the shadow looming in the mountain.
  • Base Building: Find comfort from the darkness. Discover and clear new locations and create large-scale architecture. Be creative and build foundations from scratch or build upon existing environments. Beware of the evils that seek to thwart dwarven progress.
  • Rebuild and Reshape Moria: Restore the long-lost ancient kingdom of Khazad-dûm to its former glory and throughout the story, restore dwarven monuments. Revive ancient mines and rekindle their forges to harness their untouched resources.
  • Explore: Dive into the depths of the Mines of Moria. Procedurally generated environments are rich in resources and full of mysteries and dangers, providing a unique experience each time.
  • Co-op Multiplayer: Adventure alone or together with friends in online cooperative multiplayer for up to eight players.
  • Craft Dwarven Tools, Weapons, and More: Craft and loot legendary dwarven armour, tools, weapons, and structures. Restore ancient forges to enhance, repair, and enchant equipment. Upgrade and unlock new technologies and fantastic machines.
  • Uncover Magical Artifacts: Discover ancient magical items including swords that glow when orcs are near, maps of long-dormant mithril veins, books with forgotten crafting plans, and amulets that grant power and wisdom.
  • Mine Ore and Gems: Establish mines to uncover deposits of rare resources such as iron, gold, and quartz; and fantastic materials like Mithril. Gain access to crafting stations and forges to transform ore into ingots and enhance equipment. But be prepared, mining is loud and can awaken what lurks in the dark.
  • Complex Dwarf Creator: Players will become part of dwarven legend as they create their own dwarf in the character creator. Dwarves can be customised in various ways to create a unique dwarven identity. Players can then find and craft armour and weapons during the game to further enhance their unique style.
