Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster has been brought to life by the Nightdive Studios team, fully remastered through their proprietary KEX engine, allowing the game to run on modern gaming devices at resolutions up to 4K at 120 FPS. Both new and returning players will enjoy enhanced gameplay in Star Wars : Dark Forces Remaster, high-resolution textures, improved lighting and rendering, and support for gamepads.

The original Star Wars : Dark Forces from 1995 raised the bar for FPS games, offering players a significant degree of movement and interactivity, a large selection of items and upgrades, and immersive environments.

In the first-ever Star Wars FPS, players take on the role of Kyle Katarn, a defector from the Galactic Empire who becomes a mercenary. Katarn joins the Rebel Alliance's covert operations division tasked with infiltrating the Galactic Empire, where he uncovers the secret Dark Trooper Project. The development of this new powerful series of Imperial battle droids and heavily armoured stormtroopers will tighten the Empire's grip on the galaxy unless Katarn and the Rebel Alliance intervene.
