Slime Rancher is the story of Beatrix LeBeau, a brave young rancher who ventures out for a life a thousand light years away from Earth in the “Far, Far Range”, where she tries to make a living wrangling slimes. With access to work, plenty of sand, and a trusty vacuum, Beatrix attempts to stake her claim, amass wealth, and avoid the constant danger that looms from the rolling tide of slimes around every corner.
Slime Rancher is a first-person sandbox where players will solve problems and survive by mastering their vacuum backpack: a vacuum/cannon/backpack that can suck up and shoot out anything not nailed to the ground.
Each day will present players with new challenges as they attempt to amass great wealth in the slime business. While players can approach these challenges however they wish, a typical day might look like this:
