The insatiable desire of the world for entertainment has turned into bloodlust, as entertainment giant TEC1 prepares to launch the second series of its television sensation SCUM. This new series shifts the competition from harsh, enclosed arenas to lush forests, rolling fields, and rugged terrain of the private island SCUM, which is part of the TEC1 station. Fan favourites and new inmates will clash in a ruthless battle for survival, fighting for the support of viewers, producers, and corporate sponsors, for fame, rewards, and a chance at life after death.

SCUM aims to develop a multiplayer survival game in an open world with an unprecedented level of character customisation, control, and progression, where knowledge and skills are the ultimate weapons for long-term survival. By combining methodical planning and hardcore survival management with optional PvP "network events" available to everyone at any time, SCUM achieves a unique balance between complex simulation and intense action in a new generation of survival games.

  • Complex Simulation: SCUM utilises dozens of complex systems that allow players to immerse themselves in managing their character as deeply as they wish. Players can delve into the details of survival through systems controlling their character's metabolism, inertia during movement, and even how quickly layers of clothing dry on and off the body.   • Expansive Landscape: Explore and traverse 144 km² of terrain, which includes dense forests, picturesque beaches, tranquil fields, abandoned cities, and derelict airports. Initially, the vast terrain will be manageable on foot, and as development progresses, vehicles will be introduced for faster movement.
     
  • PvP Network Events: Engage in ongoing TEC1 network events with a single click and be transported to closed areas of the island for thrilling PvP gameplay. Join the action as a volunteer and compete against other inmates, with glory points and valuable loot at stake for survival.
     
  • Gameplay Expansion: While the current version of SCUM already includes core systems for crafting, combat, and character customisation, the feature set and gameplay will continuously expand with more advanced mechanics, greater gameplay variety, and a metanarrative in which players will complete missions in hopes of one day escaping the island...
     
  • Online Multiplayer: Survive with up to 64 players on a server with the option to rent your own server directly from the game menu.
