Scorn is an atmospheric horror adventure game from a first-person perspective set in a terrifying universe of strange forms and grim tapestries.

It is designed based on the idea of “being thrown into a world”. Isolated and lost in this dreamlike world, you will explore various interconnected areas in a non-linear manner. The unsettling environment is a character in itself.

Each location contains its own theme (story), puzzles, and characters that are integral to creating a cohesive world. Throughout the game, you will unlock new areas, acquire various skill sets, weapons, different items, and strive to understand the sights that are presented to you.

Features

  • COHERENT “LIVING” WORLD
    Scorn takes place in an open-ended world with various interconnected regions. Each area is a maze-like structure with different rooms and paths to explore. All storytelling occurs within the game, with no cutscenes to distract you from the horrific reality of the living, breathing world you inhabit. But keep your eyes open – the game will show you no mercy if you miss something important on your arduous journeys.
  • BODILY AWARENESS
    Players will experience enhanced immersion with a sense of body awareness and character movement. Interaction with the world is realistic – objects are grasped with hands (instead of just floating in the air), machines and tools are operated by gripping controls, etc.
  • INVENTORY AND AMMUNITION MANAGEMENT
    Your load is defined and limited. This plays a significant role in keeping the player in an even greater state of awareness throughout the game. Players will have to think about when to fight and when to hide and how their actions affect the world around them. Different play styles will be needed to progress.
