In 1998, a special forces team is sent to investigate some bizarre murders on the outskirts of Raccoon City. Upon arrival, they are attacked by a pack of bloodthirsty dogs and are forced to seek refuge in a nearby mansion. But the stench of death hangs heavily in the air. Supplies are scarce as they struggle to stay alive.

Graphics

  • More detailed graphics that maintain the horror.
  • Environments come alive with details thanks to resolution upgrades and non-static 3D models.
  • To make the HD graphics even more realistic, post-processing effects such as Bloom filters have been added, which were not easy to implement at the time of the original release.
  • High-resolution environments – We have increased the resolution of the background environments by recreating them using a combination of high-resolution static images and animated 3D models.

Wide Screen Support

  • Wide screen (16:9) is supported, allowing players to experience a greater sense of immersion.
  • In wide screen mode, the screen will shift. Parts of the screen that are cropped at the top and bottom will automatically adjust to display based on the character's position.
  • You can switch display modes during gameplay in real-time.

Sound and New Controls

  • High-quality sound - The audio has been revamped to increase the sample rate, and of course, 5.1 channel output is now supported as well.
  • New controls
  • You can play using the original control scheme or an alternative control scheme that allows you to simply push the analogue stick and move in the direction you wish to go.
  • You can switch control schemes during gameplay in real-time.
