Pacific Drive is a first-person survival game with your car as your only companion. Navigate through a surreal reimagining of the Pacific Northwest and face supernatural dangers as you venture into the Olympic exclusion zone. Each excursion into the wilderness presents unique and peculiar challenges as you restore and upgrade your car from an abandoned garage that serves as your home base. Collect rare resources and explore what remains in the zone; uncover a long-forgotten mystery and discover what it truly takes to survive in this unpredictable, hostile environment.
ONCE, TO SURVIVE
It’s you and your station wagon against a relentless, cursed world. Staying alive, both on the road and off, will require more than just a new set of tyres. Your trusty vehicle can be upgraded and fortified to protect you, but the car will take a beating. Keep your fuel tank filled and your panels intact to withstand the radiation permeating the zone. You will push yourself to the limits – performing repairs on the go, scavenging materials wherever you can, and fortifying your base to deal with the many life-threatening dangers lurking in the shadows.
EXPLORE THE ZONE
Experimental remnants of the secret organisation ARDA remain scattered throughout the zone, and finding answers will not be easy. Everywhere you look, you will encounter anomalies, incredible forces of twisted nature that complicate your journey... or make it more interesting. Silhouettes in the dark, rolling heaps of scrap, and towering pillars of earth – every path is fraught with dangers from another world. As frightening as it may be, nothing compares to the overwhelming force of a zone storm. Step on the gas and run from it if you can – these swirling vortices tear up the landscape and obliterate anything that has lingered here too long. Don’t let it be you.
REPEAT
Check the map, pack some gear for the journey, and hit the road. Gather resources and collect data on the go; within the walls of the zone are all sorts of useful items. Return safely and use the trunk contents to upgrade your car and garage. Each time you venture out, new trials await: bizarre weather, unforgiving terrain, and experimental remnants. The golden rule in the zone is "nothing ventured, nothing gained" – some materials can only be found in the most dangerous locations. Be smart and don’t waste time – it will be a long race.
