Release Date: 25/02/2015
Back to Oddworld
Explore ancient ruins, dodge carnivorous beasts and avoid guards with triggers as Abe, the original hero of Oddworld in this lovingly reimagined, built from the ground up and completely overhauled version of the classic adventure Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee.
Abe, once a happy floor waxer in the largest meat processing plant in Oddworld, stumbles upon his boss's secret plan to turn the slave labour in the factory into the latest meat delicacies from the RuptureFarms Tasty Treats line. Abe must now save his own skin from the grinders, but merely escaping the farm is just the beginning of his Oddysee - many dangers await Abe on his journey to uncover his fate.
Built from the ground up, enjoy new breathtaking visuals, enhanced audio and improved, deeper gameplay as New 'n' Tasty breathes new life into the original Oddworld game using the latest next-gen technology.
Amazing new graphics
Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty, with art direction from series creator Lorne Lanning, offers a glimpse into Oddworld with a fidelity never seen before. Smooth animations, new free-moving cameras and high-resolution visuals (up to 4K) make RuptureFarms and the surrounding areas look incredible, creating the Oddworld that Lanning always wanted to see.
Redesigned controls
Analog controls provide finer control over Abe, and new tricks such as free aiming, the ability to throw grenades behind him and also to sneak while crouching open new avenues for stealth tactics and inventive speed runs. Optional "Old School" controls bring back jumping and digital movement, allowing purists of Oddysee to start with a sense of familiarity.
All-new areas, all-new secrets
Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty boasts new areas, subtle gameplay changes and several surprises, from the dark grime of RuptureFarms to the vast original lands of the Monsaic Lines to the enormous temples of Scrabania and Paramonia. Fans will recognise the massive meat grinders, enclosures for Scrabs and cave caverns, but there are more than enough new features to keep you on your toes.
