The file with a grit of 180/180 is considered finer and is suitable for shaping natural nails and shortening them. It can also be used for roughening the surface of the natural nail. One side of the file is oval, while the other side is flat. The rounded shape is used for working around the nail cuticle, while the flat side is used for refining the free edge of the nail.
