Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2), set in a zombie apocalypse, is the eagerly anticipated sequel to the acclaimed Left 4 Dead, the cooperative game of the year 2008.
This cooperative action horror FPS game takes you and your friends through cities, swamps, and graveyards of the Deep South, from Savannah to New Orleans, across five extensive campaigns.
You will play as one of four new survivors armed with a wide and devastating array of both classic and upgraded weapons. In addition to firearms, you will also have the chance to vent your aggression on the infected using various melee weapons, from chainsaws to axes to deadly frying pans.
You will test these weapons against (or play as in Versus) three horrifying and imposing new special infected. You will also encounter five new "uncommon" common infected, including the terrifying mud men.
The frenetic and action-packed gameplay of L4D is elevated to a new level by the AI Director 2.0. This enhanced Director can procedurally change the weather you will fight through and the paths you will take, while also tailoring the enemy population, effects, and sounds to your performance. L4D2 promises a satisfying and uniquely challenging experience every time you play, tailored to your play style.
