In KILLING FLOOR 2, players descend into continental Europe, where an epidemic caused by a failed experiment from Horzine Biotech has rapidly spread and gained unstoppable momentum, essentially paralyzing the European Union – Just a month after the events of the original KILLING FLOOR, specimen clones are everywhere, and civilization is in disarray; communication has failed, governments have collapsed, and military forces have been systematically eradicated. The inhabitants of Europe know survival and self-preservation all too well, and the fortunate survivors have hidden away.
However, not everyone has given up hope... A group of civilians and mercenaries has banded together to fight the epidemic and established privately funded operational bases across Europe. After tracking the hotspots of specimen clones, players will descend into hot zones laden with Zeds and eradicate them.
Visceral Gore — KILLING FLOOR 2 amplifies the bloodiness with a patented high-performance persistent blood system that brings a new level of fidelity to the genre. Players will send intestines, severed limbs, and blood flying as they wade through hordes of enemies. But they must be on guard! If caught, enemies will tear them apart and their entire party limb from limb.
Co-operative or Solo Play for 6 Players — A variety of different playable characters await players to choose from as they enter the fray in online co-operative mode or solo mode for those willing to face the horrific specimens alone.
Versus Survival Game Mode — Be the Zed! PvP mode for 12 players, where two teams alternate playing Humans vs. Zeds in a series of short matches. In the first match, one team plays as humans and the other as Zeds until all humans are killed in one round or they defeat the boss. For the second match, teams swap sides, and at the end of the battle, both teams receive scores based on their performance, with the higher score winning!
Terrifying Zeds — New enemies and fan favourites from the original game return with enhanced and smarter artificial intelligence, delivering powerful attacks, working as a group to weaken the player’s party, and elevating the level of challenge and fear factor to new heights.
Unique Mix of Weapons — From modern militaristic assault rifles, brutal improvised makeshift weapons, classic historical weapons, to the invisible "Mad Scientist" weapons, KILLING FLOOR 2 offers a unique combination of killing tools that will satisfy every player.
Expanded Perk System – Perks from the original game have been reworked and additional ones have been added. All perks now develop with meaningful talent options that enhance various play styles and provide players with a progression path that is extensive and filled with rewarding milestones.
Brutal Melee Combat — KILLING FLOOR 2 completely redefines melee combat. Players now have control over the type of melee attacks they can perform, allowing them to execute bone-breaking devastating attacks on Zeds.
