In KILLING FLOOR 2, players descend into continental Europe, where an epidemic caused by a failed experiment from Horzine Biotech has rapidly spread and gained unstoppable momentum, essentially paralysing the European Union – Just a month after the events of the original KILLING FLOOR, specimen clones are everywhere and civilisation is in disarray; communications have failed, governments have collapsed, and military forces have been systematically wiped out. The inhabitants of Europe know far too well about survival and self-preservation, and the fortunate ones who have survived have gone into hiding.
However, not everyone has given up hope... A group of civilians and mercenaries has banded together to fight the epidemic and has established privately funded operational bases across Europe. After tracking the outbreaks of specimen clones, players will descend into hot zones laden with Zeds and eradicate them.
Visceral Gore — KILLING FLOOR 2 ramps up the bloodiness with a patented high-performance persistent blood system that brings a new level of fidelity to the genre. Players will send guts, severed limbs, and blood flying as they wade through hordes of enemies. But they must be on their guard! If caught, enemies will tear them apart and their entire party limb from limb.
Cooperative or Solo Play for 6 Players — A range of different playable characters awaits players to choose from as they enter the fray in online cooperative mode or solo mode for those willing to face the horrific specimens alone.
Versus Survival Game Mode — Be the Zed! PvP mode for 12 players, where two teams take turns playing Humans vs. Zeds in pairs of short matches. In the first match, one team plays as humans and the other as Zeds until all humans are killed in one round or defeat the boss. For the second match, teams will swap sides, and after the battle is over, both teams will receive scores based on their performance, with the higher score winning!
Terrifying Zeds — New enemies and fan favourites from the original game return with enhanced and smarter AI, delivering powerful attacks, working as a group to weaken the player's party, and elevating the level of challenge and fear factor to new heights.
Unique Mix of Weapons — From modern militaristic assault rifles, brutal improvised makeshift weapons, classic historical firearms, to the "Mad Scientist" invisible weapon, KILLING FLOOR 2 offers a unique combination of killing tools that will satisfy every player.
Expanded Perk System – Perks from the original game have been revamped and new ones have been added. All perks now develop with meaningful talent options that enhance various play styles and provide players with a progression path that is extensive and full of rewarding milestones.
Brutal Melee Combat — KILLING FLOOR 2 completely transforms melee combat. Players now have control over the types of melee attacks they can perform, allowing them to deliver bone-breaking devastating attacks to Zeds.
