Insurmountable is a roguelike adventure with permadeath, where the player must conquer enormous mountains. Thanks to procedurally generated environments, no two ascents are the same. Ensure your climber stays alive by always making sure your health does not drop to critical levels. This task is complicated by a dynamic weather system, changes between day and night, and a multitude of randomly generated events, where you never know in advance how things will turn out. Your decisions matter... every single one. Because anyone could be your last.
Choose one of three characters with different skills and backstories and start by climbing the first mountain. Search in chests, caves, and ancient ruins for equipment left by previous adventurers. You will need it, as even the first mountain will demand everything from you. But do not worry. As time passes, you will grow stronger and stronger. Make decisions freely in a sophisticated skill system regarding which attributes your climber should prioritise.
Throughout each of the three mysterious stories, you will encounter dangerous animals, overcome deadly chasms, and meet sinister yet well-meaning characters who may not always be human. Here too, every decision you make influences the subsequent events.
In the end, you must conquer three mountains. Each one higher and deadlier than the last. Allocate your resources and equipment wisely, as you do not have a second chance, and forget about learning the route. In Insurmountable, you must contend with unknown dangers, react spontaneously to unpredictable events, and ultimately realise that just like in life, you cannot always know the consequences of your decisions, but you must deal with them nonetheless, and often, it turns out differently than you expected.
Face the challenge of ever-new and changing dangers, confront snowstorms and the sheer force of nature, always keep your eyes on the summit, and overcome the insurmountable.
