IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad is the continuation of the legendary IL-2 Sturmovik series that has set the standard for PC combat flight games for over a decade. This new addition to the series offers virtual pilots an even more accurate simulation of the most famous aerial battles of the Second World War. Enhanced content quality, larger scale, new physics, more realistic aerodynamics, and new gameplay elements distinguish this title from all previous ones. We have only one goal - to provide you with a new, higher level of immersion.

PLAY:

  • Become an ace fighter pilot or try flying with ground attack aircraft and bombers, where you can destroy tanks, trucks, anti-aircraft batteries, artillery units, and even armoured trains.
  • A unique and detailed damage model shows how deadly these weapons can be and challenges even the best pilots.
  • For those who cannot make it back to base, every aircraft is equipped with a handy parachute!

LEARN:

  • The action takes place on a map measuring 358 × 230 km - the largest and most detailed replica of the Battle of Stalingrad ever modelled in a flight simulator, featuring unique structures, buildings, and landscapes.
  • The single-player campaign scenario follows the actual chronology of the battle, starting with Operation Uranus on 19th November 1942 and continuing until the complete liberation of the city on 2nd February 1943.
  • Ten legendary aircraft from this era have been thoroughly reconstructed using original blueprints and plans from the central archive of the Russian Ministry of Defence.
  • An accurate flight model simulation allows everyone to recognise the specific characteristics and limits of each aircraft in the game. Utilise each of their special abilities and performance characteristics to complete missions and survive brutal combat.
