As a nameless traveller, you find yourself stranded in a ghost town on the frontier. Everyone is gone, including the hired hand and the horses meant to carry you over the mountain. But the howling in the distance means you won't be alone for long. You'd better check your iron, partner, because it's the only thing standing between you and the monsters lurking all around the Cursed West.

Hauntsville is a western horror survival game set during the heyday of the American West. With only the clothes on your back (and up to three of your closest friends, hopefully), you'll need to work the land to survive the night. Build a homestead, scavenge the haunted town for supplies, or try to survive with what you find in the wild, hunted by creatures straight out of North American folklore!

  • Western survival : A cowboy won't get far on his own. Build a homestead with trees felled by your own axe. Delve into mines to extract iron so you can forge it into tools. Hunt animals to feed yourself. Or pack iron and head into the haunted town to stock up – if you dare.
  • Day and night gameplay : The valley is almost peaceful when the sun shines, allowing you to explore in relative safety. But everything changes with the arrival of night. Predators lurk around every corner, trying to make a snack out of you. Surviving from dusk till dawn is an open question.
  • Dynamic weather : Every time you venture out, the weather can turn for the worse. A clear sky can turn grey, followed by a downpour that leaves you stuck in the mud. Blinding snowstorms can hit you from above, or a sudden onset of night can disorient you and expose you to the things lurking in the dark.
  • Unpredictability : Hauntsville relies on these sophisticated dynamic systems to ensure that no two games are the same. You never know if a place that was once safe might become a monster's nest next time, whether the rich bounty you just staked will be buried under mud or snow upon your return, or if a quick trip for firewood might turn into a fight for survival.
