Summary

In From the Depths, you can build battleships, aircraft, submarines, spaceships, hot air balloons, and more, taking command from a first-person perspective! The game features a wide range of single-player content, including:

  • A creative mode that allows you to push your designs to the limit and ensure complete destruction of your opponents.
  • A strategic campaign set across hundreds of islands against eight unique factions.
  • A story mode where you can engage in action missions focused on improving designs to suit roles.
  • An adventure mode where you start on a raft and must build your fleet and navigate a dangerous universe, fighting or fleeing from enemy fleets.

Along with a wide array of multiplayer content

  • Design with your friends in cooperative designer mode
  • Play a variety of hostile modes
  • Play through the entire single-player campaign together in co-op

Key Features

  • Design and build your fleet, fortifications, and structures as you wish. Currently, there are over 1000 unique component blocks, including 38 different components for crafting missiles, torpedoes, depth charges, and bombs, and 34 different components for crafting the ultimate artillery shell!
  • The sky is the limit; you can equip your vehicle with cannons, lasers, mines, bombs, missiles, torpedoes, propellers, rudders, jet engines, wings, winged wings, hot air balloons, anchors, planners, repair bots, air pumps, automated control blocks, and many, many more!
  • Physics – every destroyed or added block affects the functionality, physics, and control of the vehicle. Gates, inertia dampeners, lift, and sealed compartments are updated based on your vehicle's construction and damage sustained.
  • Become part of a fantastic community with updates released on average once a week. Community-organised challenges and plan sharing make it an extremely friendly place to meet!
  • Plenty of single-player and multiplayer content where you can use your designs (campaigns, cooperative campaigns, missions, adventures)
  • Design your own planets/campaigns/missions/multiplayer maps using the planet editor or easily add your own mods using the fully integrated editing interface

Customisable Components

Customisable components in From the Depths allow for a unique level of technical customisation:

  • Design custom missiles, bombs, depth charges, and torpedoes by combining various types of warheads, fuse types, infrared seekers, laser beam riders, laser designators, nozzles, navigation algorithms, sonar seekers, buoyancy compartments, and propellers to create a truly bespoke weapon.
  • Design cannons by combining four different types and lengths of barrels with automatic loading units, types of warheads, ammunition boxes, and auxiliary components to create everything from anti-aircraft guns to howitzers.
  • Design AI by combining AI room computers with "AI cards" inserted into motherboard blocks. Add radar detection, laser detection and tracking, and local weapon controllers to partially or fully control the AI. Create anything from an aircraft carrier fully controlled by artificial intelligence to a battery-powered drone.
  • Design custom engines using crankshafts, cylinders, carburettors, blowers, exhausts, and fuel injectors. Electric motors, generators, and chargers are also available for backup power sources and drones.
  • Similar systems exist for creating anti-vehicle and anti-missile lasers, drills capable of splitting even the largest battleships, particle cannons, jet engines, and more.
