About Fate/stay night REMASTERED
The remastered version of Fate/stay night, a fantasy action drama visual novel and the very first commercial release from TYPE-Moon in 2004, will be released on Steam® to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
The remaster is based on the 2012 PS VITA version of Fate/stay night Realta Nua, which includes the first adaptation of the series into languages such as English and Simplified Chinese, as well as graphics and animations rendered in Full HD. Experience in vivid detail the story of Shirou Emiya, a teenage boy with dreams of becoming a hero of justice, and his battle revolving around the omnipotent vessel of wishes, the Holy Grail.
With numerous entries in the ever-expanding Fate series, including the mobile game Fate/Grand Order, the curtain on Fate, the Origin rises once more.
Story:
— The Holy Grail War —
A ritual held in the city of Fuyuki by mages to reach the root.
Seven mages, known as Masters, have gathered to compete for ownership of the Holy Grail, which has the power to grant any wish of its bearer.
They battle against other Masters for supremacy by summoning heroic spirits, known as Servants, called forth by the Holy Grail.
However, throughout the last four Holy Grail Wars, history has yet to see a single victor.
During the fourth Holy Grail War ten years ago, Shirou Emiya was rescued from the fires of war by the self-styled mage Kiritsugu Emiya.
Young Shirou began living with Kiritsugu and persistently requested to be taught the art of magic, much to the mage's disapproval. The night before Kiritsugu's death, Shirou promised his adoptive father that he would become a hero of justice.
Fast forward to the present day.
One calm evening, Shirou becomes embroiled in the Holy Grail War and is attacked by a Servant.
Just as the glint of steel threatens to take his life, it seems a girl in knight's armour stops the fatal attack.
A Servant who came to the rescue of the potential hero of justice, and a Master, saved by the heroic spirit of the sword; their fates are set in motion...
