More than 10 million ducks are killed by hunters each year, a statistic that would be much lower if ducks were combat-trained. Enter DUCKSIDE, a persistent world survival game like DayZ or Rust... but you are a duck and everyone else is too.
It’s a tough duck life
Wake up at dawn and use those feet with flotation devices, or fly across the vast island where valuable resources and treasures await all the lucky ones who discover them, enticing eggs.
Are you a chick? No, you are a DUCK.
DUCKSIDE is not just about survival; it’s about getting into the mind of a duck. Being a duck. You feel the cold steel of a machine gun on your feathers. The heat of a grenade exploding beside you. And the peace that comes with settling down after a long day, in a house you built from the scraps you pilfered from some guy's corpse. Don’t be a chick, be a firework.
Line up the ducks
Harvest resources, craft weapons and tools, and build shelters to protect your loot and your life.
Wondering how ducks even hold weapons and tools? Who cares about a silly goose? With a crafting system as deep and robust as this, it was wise to adapt; otherwise, they’d just be lounging around in ponds all day waiting to be added to the “10 million” statistic.
The sky (box) is the limit
Are you really a duck if you can’t fly? No, you’re a penguin or something. So yes, you can fly; we introduced a game controller with perfect aerial mechanics that allows you to glide, hover, accelerate, and dive, even while shooting and fighting!
World of poultry
A live duck can keep its gear safe and its teammates alive. A dead duck, however, is much less useful. After all - birds of a feather flock together.
Don’t be a duckling – gear up, build nests for safety, storage, survival, and strategic advantage, but be warned: nothing is truly safe. Every building can be destroyed, every stash of loot can be raided, and every migration can end in death.
There’s no such thing as too many ducks
Play solo or form a flock with other ducks to build, explore, fight, and survive together. Ducks are ruthlessly territorial, so encounters with hostile ducks can and often will lead to some ruffled feathers.
