Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone is a post-apocalyptic action RPG that combines free exploration of a vast and extremely realistic open world, challenging combat, unique crafting, team and base management with non-linear storytelling. You are a sphere walker travelling through parallel worlds in search of a rare, high-energy material known as chernobylite. Cut off from the world, trapped in the zone, besieged by hordes of nightmare creatures, you must fight for survival and unite a handful of remaining survivors.
Explore and analyse a large and realistic open world of the real closed zone of Chernobyl in a switchable first or third-person perspective – no detail will escape you. Chernobylite has taken over the zone, transforming many of its elements, and people are trying to defend against it using prototype technology.
Create and develop your hero. Attributes and skills will influence combat effectiveness as well as conversation style. An arrogant musclehead with a big sword trying to intimidate everyone? Or a clever sniper who always finds the right arguments? The choice is yours.
Fight for survival using an advanced melee combat system or keep your enemies at bay with a diverse arsenal of firearms in a switchable third or first-person perspective. You can also use a stealth approach or call upon others for assistance.
Embark on an exciting journey of team building. Each of your colleagues is a potential mentor, ready to pass on their knowledge and skills. Assemble your team and discover the unique strengths and abilities they bring. The question is, will you earn their trust and unlock their full potential?
Adapt your build and equipment to the situation with planewalking, allowing you to change things on the fly. You can freely develop more than one set of character skills. Encountering a situation that your previously prepared heavy melee build handles better than your current long-range sniper? Planewalk and use another.
Develop your base. There you can create valuable items and upgrade your weapons every day. Assign tasks to your people, and they will take care of your equipment and supplies.
Fight for influence and negotiate with factions. The exclusion zone is a battlefield that changes every day and reacts to every action you take. Can you help them defeat an army of malicious monsters? And when old conflicts resurface, whose side will you be on?
