Start with a pickaxe in one hand and nothing in the other. Dig through the bedrock, harvest the rewards of Mother Earth, and exchange the mined treasures for new tools, travel, wild mode, and more. Cave Digger 2 is an action-adventure game for 1-4 players set in wild valleys where you will discover ancient mines, maritime caves, and ruins of ancient civilisations inspired by western, dieselpunk, and Lovecraftian themes. Explore the "unclean" lands, seize their wealth, and uncover the mystery associated with the great explorer. When you go, it’s best to have six shooters nearby just in case.
Get thrown straight into the deep end by getting stuck in the mines when your drill breaks. Work your way to the surface camp with just a pickaxe, where your journey can seriously begin. Your goal is simply to mine and haul loot back to the surface as best as you can for your mission partners. With the excess rewards you gain, you can purchase new items, such as upgrading your trusty pickaxe with a shinier look! (And faster digging speed.) Or buy dynamite that works on practically anything that needs digging. Perhaps you fancy a shovel that works both for digging and moving in caves like a spider miner. Whatever you prefer, you will be ready to go deeper into the ever-changing caves than any miner before or after you! (At least that’s what the Merchant Trading Company claims when selling their gear to any miner, which they must be 100% right about, right?... Right.)
The valleys have their secrets and hide them well. The player progresses step by step along the same path once taken by the great explorer. Who is this persistent explorer? Why did they come to these valleys? And where are they now? Answers to these and more lie in the depths of the valleys. The story has multiple endings, each revealing a different side. Find scattered comic pages to the story of greed, power, and secrets beyond space and time. Who is the vagabond and why did they do what they did in the valleys will eventually be revealed, but is it really the end?
Gather a group of up to 4 players. Your role in the mining team is entirely up to you! As long as at least someone pulls their weight in gold back to the surface, everyone gets paid in official trade dollars equally. Co-op crossplay supports public matchmaking and private groups, and once you purchase them, you can freely showcase your wildness by combining items from a large selection of clothing, hats, and faces.
So grab your pickaxe (and your friends) and venture into the wilderness for the riches it hides, uncover the secrets it contains, and dig deeper into the valleys than any adventurer before or after you!
