As a noble heir, you will manage your city by unlocking, building, and upgrading structures that provide you with new services and mechanics to aid you in your bloody quest for vengeance.
STORY
You have fought tooth and nail for survival, driven by burning hatred and a desire for justice. Now, as a wealthy patron and trainer of gladiators, you plan revenge against the tyrannical emperor who stole your freedom and murdered your father. However, the path to redemption is fraught with danger, and you must fight your way through a treacherous world full of deception and peril.
Recruit new allies and expand your gladiatorial team to climb the ranks of brutal tournaments. Each victory brings you closer to the magnificent Capitol, where your ultimate goal awaits you on the throne - the Emperor, lost in his madness.
PREPARATION FOR BATTLE
Before each battle, assemble a team of gladiators from various classes: physical, ranged, or magical. Will you pay them gold, engage them in combat, or show mercy in the arena to recruit them?
Level them up, enhance their statistics, and learn new abilities to ensure they are ready for battle. Don't forget to address any negative conditions or traumas and equip them with new weapons, armour, and consumables.
Utilise the powerful abilities of deities to support your gladiators in battle or strike a dubious deal with a local crime boss to sabotage your enemies before the battle even begins.
ARENA BATTLES
Combat takes place in turn-based battles on a grid, where units act according to initiative. Strategically reposition your gladiators, attack, and place them to outsmart and outmaneuver your opponents.
Wisely utilise your action points – unleash powerful weapons or class abilities, use items like potions and magical scrolls, or set traps on the ground to catch your enemies off guard.
Win the favour of the audience by fulfilling their bloodthirsty desires and reap rewards after each battle. But beware - permanent death awaits you. If a gladiator falls, they are lost forever along with their equipment, increasing the stakes for every decision.
MANAGEMENT
You have inherited an estate overlooking the abandoned coastal city of Marevento, and the future of the city now lies in your hands.
Between battles, use your hard-earned gold to build and upgrade city buildings, unlocking new tools and services to assist you in your quest for vengeance. From a infirmary where your gladiators can recover to a bustling market for items and even a grand monument in honour of fallen gladiators.
Defeat the arena champion in each region to progress to the next era and gain access to new powerful buildings and items.
