After Riley Park inherits her aunt Kate's house, she begins to explore what this recluse left behind. In the attic, Riley is surprised to find a pile of VHS tapes next to an old television. The tapes appear to be episodes of children's cartoons from the early 2000s that they have never seen before. Intrigued, Riley puts the first tape into the video recorder.
At first glance, it is not a high-budget production. It seems to have been made locally and features a little girl named Amanda and her loyal but shy best friend, a sheep named Wooly. Although the episode outwardly appears charming and simple, unease begins to settle in as Riley realises that Amanda and Wooly seem to be communicating directly through the television. A gnawing feeling at the back of their mind urges them to stop, but Riley is compelled to continue watching the tapes. It’s almost as if Amanda needs something, and Riley is fascinated by discovering what that something could be.
What lies beneath the friendly and colourful facade of Amanda the Adventurer? Who left behind these tapes? Is the price you pay worth the answers you seek?
