Inspired by the presentation style of popular action television dramas, Alone in the Dark will be divided into several standalone episodes. With approximately 30–40 minutes of gameplay in each episode, the structure of Alone in the Dark will draw you into a world that provides a wildly gripping and frightening experience. Each time a player starts a saved game, the episode will begin with a video recap of the previous episode, allowing the player to quickly re-immerse themselves in the story without needing to remember where they were or what they were doing. Each episode will conclude with a nail-biting cliffhanger that will leave players on edge, and if a player exits the game, a video teaser for the next episode will play to entice them for more.
